Separation of Church and State

It is often stated that it is important that there is a separation between church and state. However, can the church really separate itself from the state? Do you believe the church has a responsibility to sound the trumpet of justice on injustice in government? Perhaps, the church should sit on the sidelines and allow injustice to be done to the church by the state. Is it time for the church to take a stronger position and have a stronger voice regarding what happens politically?

During this time of year many people focus on material gifts, parties, Santa Claus, etc. If Christmas is about the birth of Christ, why are so many Christians caught up in the commercialization aspect of the season? Also, what should believers be doing to put Christmas back in perspective for society or should we continue to relish in the moment of the worldview of Christmas?

WORSHIP (Substance or Style)

As believers, we are blessed to worship the true and living God. When we worship God we direct devotion, reverence, and honor to God because he alone is worthy of our worship. However, in contemporary society worship seems to have shifted from a substantive to stylistic focus. My question is, should we as believers seek a substantive worship experience or stylistic worship experience and why?
