I agree wholeheartedly Pastor "D". Christmas is too commercialized. Its' Jesus' birthday and HE should be celebrated---not others. I recognize my family and friends on THEIR birthdays not at Christmas. I don't even put up decorations at this time...my focus is on CHRIST and my immediate family.
Pastor - your Sunday messages are very appropriate. We know the world and culture are twisted and hopeless. All these people are seeking to fill the void in their life that our Wonderful Counselor, Master, Redeemer and Savior should occupy. We should be an example as Sister Gloria has commented. But we should not be surprised at the images we see either because we know we are living in the end times eagerly awaiting his triumphant return - Americans bear a great responsibility for perverting a day that is sacred and set aside for Him!
