Pastor, Society has evolved into one of status worshipers, as opposed to a society where self enlightenment and self empowerment is the culture. The travesty here is Reality TV makes status appear to be instant.The danger there is people are dying for status and status symbols. Kanye West, mother died getting a liposuction procedure,that she was warned not to get. TV makes us feel bad enough about ourselves that we somehow think status will assuage the voids we feel.
Pastor, I agree.Recently I came across the show MaryMary.At first I was excited to see a gospel group with a show.My thinking was that it would faith based,but found that the entire show would be centered around the entertainment industry.I have to say I was sort of shocked by some of the things that were said and done on the show.And i'm not being judgmental towards the ladies...Are there any faith based shows other than Meet the Browns or House of Pain that is geared towards a Christian audience?
